| To teach mathematics we use Progress
in Mathematics by Sadlier-Oxford.
First graders learn to sort, position, compare, and identify and create
patterns, eventually moving on to basic number sense, operations, measurement,
geometry, time, money, data and probability.
Problem solving is taught throughout the various units of study. Each year the content advances within these same
basic strands, following the Massachusetts state frameworks. Seventh-graders learn the Fundamentals
of Algebra, which is then built upon in 8th grade with Foundations
of Algebra.
